The Young Set is the youth section of Broxbourne Theatre Company and caters for youngsters from the age of 9 who are interested in the world of theatre, until they are eligible to join the adult company at 16.

It aims to give them a firm grounding in drama, music and movement, and an introduction to some of the technical aspects of the theatre. This is accomplished by weekly sessions in which various aspects of the performing arts are explored and practiced, often leading to the Young Set's own production at the end of the season.

The Young Set meets every Wednesday evening (excluding school holidays) at Bollescroft.

The main entrance time is September but, subject to vacancies, a few youngsters may be admitted in January.

Please note that membership of the Young Set does NOT entitle you to take part in the adult section's productions, where the minimum age for membership is 16. However, if an adult production requires youngsters, e.g. The Sound of Music, Annie etc, Young Set members will be eligible to audition and will be given preference wherever possible.

If you are interested in joining The Young Set, or would like more information, please contact Maureen Stretch on 01992 449176, or fill in the form below.
